LWF General Secretary visited Augusta Victoria Hospital

We were honoured to host Rev. Dr. Anne Burghardt, the General Secretary of the Lutheran World Federation, at the Augusta Victoria Hospital.

After meeting Dr. Fadi Atrash, CEO of the AVH, and members of his team, and completing a tour of the hospital, Rev. Dr. Burghardt stated: “I am deeply impressed by the commitment of the staff working at the AVH. Thanks to this commitment, AVH is a hospital where patients not only receive medical treatment, but also experience hospitality and holistic care”.

The LWF and AVH will continue to serve Palestinian people through the important ministry of the AVH. “Access to timely, acceptable, and affordable health care is an important human right. LWF and AVH are doing our best to make it a reality in the Palestinian context, recognizing the vital role AVH plays in the Palestinian health care system” said Dr. Burghardt. She ended with a note of profound thanks to Dr. Fadi and his team for their hard work and dedication to AVH and its mission.
