Physiotherapy Unit

Physiotherapy Unit

The Physiotherapy Unit at the Augusta Victoria Hospital was established in order to offer comprehensive health care for all patients in all departments. This unit aims to enhance the patient's physical motor functions that are threatened as a result of age, or chronic, or acute diseases.

The physiotherapy unit supports patients in developing their physical and motor skills, promotes the patient’s independence in doing daily tasks, contributes to increasing the patients' appetite, as well as improve their sleep.

Physiotherapy plays an important role in the treatment plan for breast cancer patients, to avoid the occurrence of postoperative complications, such as: the occurrence and development of lymphedema and stiff shoulder, whether immediately after surgery or after discharge.
The Department uses the latest devices and technologies in providing treatment services, in addition to building the capacity of its staff by offering them continuous learning opportunities.
