Surgical and Anesthesia Department

Augusta Victoria Hospital is dedicated to providing the highest medical and health standards through its range of specialized services. The Surgical Department at AVH attracts patients from all over Palestine and is staffed by a team of expert surgeons, including specialists in general and surgical oncology, urology, head and neck surgery, gynecological surgery, and general, oncoplastic, and aesthetic breast surgery.

This department performs a variety of crucial and fundamental operations, including those used to remove malignancies, as well as general surgeries and other procedures. To ensure the success of these surgeries, the availability of the Anesthesia and Resuscitation Unit is essential. This unit is staffed by six professionals, including technicians and specialists, who prepare patients for surgery by assessing their health, creating anesthesia plans, and monitoring their recovery following surgery. 

They also provide epidural anesthesia to reduce pain after major procedures, and administer intrathecal chemotherapy and install catheters for pediatric and elderly patients in the radiotherapy department, as needed.
